Husband of missing woman now wanted for first degree murder
The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office has now issued a warrant for first degree murder and for tampering with physical evidence for the arrest of Charles Eugene Bowman, age 61, of the Barth community who has been missing since last week after being questioned by the PRCSO in regards to the whereabouts of his wife, Kathleen Bowman, who was reported missing as well.
Deputy Coroner Albert Lee told WRJW News that the human remains found at the Bowman residence at 68 Owl Hoot Road, Perkinston, MS (Barth community in Pearl River County) have been verified as being those of Kathleen Bowman.
“Today at 10:45am, I spoke with the Forensic Anthropologist with the Mississippi Crime Lab and it was verified by the Forensic Odonatologist, that the remains carried up to Jackson last week are positively identified as being from Kathleen Bownman, the missing female from Pearl River County,” said Lee.
PRCSO Chief Investigator Marc Ogden added, “We are upgrading the aggravated domestic violent warrant to first degree murder for Charles Eugene Bowman and adding another felony warrant for his arrest for tampering with physical evidence.”
