Two local men arrested for heroin possession

Sheriff Allison said the Sheriff’s Department had been receiving a lot of complaints from people in the Caesar Community about a lot of narcotic activity. During a special operation aimed at activity in that area, Sheriff Allison said several arrests were made.


Sheriff Allison said that on July 27, 2020, Investigators with the Pearl River County Narcotic’s Unit were conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving in the 1100 block of Bouie Road in Caesar.


Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the driver, Nicholas Wash, age 41, of 1605 Adcox Road, Picayune, and the passenger, James Snider, age 42, of 304 Bales Avenue, Picayune, were both taken into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff Allison said that during a search of the vehicle, Investigators located heroin in the vehicle.

Both Wash and Snider were arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Herion and Wash was also charged with Careless Driving according to Sheriff Allison.


Both were transported to the Pearl River County Jail where they were booked on the charges.
