Poplarville- During its meeting on Tuesday, the Pearl River County Board of Supervisors addressed and approved a large assortment of items. Near the end of the meeting, Board President and District 5 Supervisor Sandy Kane Smith brought up the recent success of the ladies of Chapel Hart.

The Poplarville natives have taken the world by storm with their recent run on America’s Got Talent, and were also invited to sing at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday September 17th.

Smith emphasized how important it is as a community to put our full support behind these local ladies especially with how proud they are of their hometown and county.

“These girls, no matter where they go, will never forget where they came from. They love their hometown and their county, so we need to get behind them 100%,” Smith said.

Pearl River Community College will air the America’s Got Talent final performance on September 13th on the video board at Dobie Holden Stadium where volunteers will be present to help fans who wish to cast their vote for Chapel Hart.

In addition to the public showing of the finale, Smith brought forward a decision to designate next week (September 11th through September 17th) as Chapel Hart week in Pearl River County, a motion was made and the board unanimously voted their approval.
