Pearl River launches Wildcat Kids Club

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — In the hopes of connecting with Wildcats of tomorrow and forging a bond that will stand the test of time, Pearl River Community College is launching an exciting youth program, the Wildcat Kids Club.

The free club is a rebirth of what was formerly the Little Wildcats Club and will allow children up to age 13 to connect with the college and its athletic programs though several fun and exclusive features.

"We are excited to launch the Wildcat Kids Club and believe this will allow our institution an opportunity to provide an ongoing relationship with our communities and pour into the future generation of Wildcat students," Associate Vice President of Communications Candace Harper said. "Parents and legal guardians have an opportunity to introduce the college experience to their children and instill a desire to achieve greatness starting at a very young age.

"Signing up is free and ensures your children will be exposed to core values such as pride, respect, class and character."

Some of the features for members include monthly newsletters from Wildcat mascot W.C. Rivers, photo opportunities with W.C. Rivers and Pearl River student athletes, meet-n-greets with PRCC players along with many more perks.

"Our main goal with the Wildcat Kids Club is to create more relationships with the children and families around our community at PRCC," Assistant Director of Communications for Athletics Mark Franklin said. "We want to be able to help kids make memories and experiences they will cherish while also showing them that PRCC cares about their involvement with the college."

Parents or guardians wishing to sign their little Wildcat up can do so by visiting PRCCAthletics.com and selecting "Wildcat Kids Club" from the "Inside Athletics" drop down or by Clicking HERE.

The Wildcat Kids club plans to launch its first event in the fall around football season.

More events and perks will be announced at a later date.
