Pearl River baseball announces fall schedule


POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River baseball coach Michael Avalon officially released the Wildcats' 2020 fall schedule Friday.

The Wildcats have a full autumn schedule with four game dates in addition to the annual Maroon and Gold World Series that punctuates the season.


The reigning Region XXIII Champions will open fall competition on Sept. 30 with a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Pensacola State College at South Alabama.


Pearl River treks to Sports Force Park in Vicksburg on Oct. 7 for two games against MACCC foes. PRCC plays East Central at 11 a.m. and then faces Northwest at 6 p.m.


The remainder of the Wildcats' fall will be played at Dub Herring Park.



Pearl River hosts a tri-competition on Oct. 13. PRCC plays Copiah-Lincoln at noon. After Co-Lin and East Central play at 3 p.m., the Wildcats will face the Warriors at 6 p.m.


On Oct. 21 the Wildcats will host another two teams. PRCC plays Nunez at 1 p.m. Following NCC and Mississippi Gulf Coast play at 3:45 p.m., the Wildcats will face the rival Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

PRCC will wrap up the fall Oct. 26 - Nov. 5 with the annual Maroon and Gold World Series. Specific dates and times have not been finalized.


COME OUT TO THE DUB Fans are welcome to attend events at The Dub. The Home Run Derby is free and admission to games is $7. Fans are asked to follow COVID-19 guidelines. Seating will be limited.
