Local man arrested for 5th time on drug related charges

Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison said in a press release that his department arrested a local man for the fifth time since 2018 for drug related offenses.

Sheriff Allison stated that on September 23, 2020, investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department’s Narcotics Unit traveled to 1479 Dupont Hart Chapel Road, Poplarville, MS, in reference to neighborhood complaints about drug activity at that location.

Upon arrival, investigators made contact with Shelby Paul Amacker, age 54, Karen Nicole Odom, age 45, and another individual. Investigators conducted a search of the residence and located marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Odom and Amacker were both charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and a probation violation. This is Amacker’s fifth arrest as noted by Sheriff Allison.
