City Council signs agreement for interim city clerk services; Designates Trick or Treat on Oct 30
The Picayune City Council held a specially called meeting on Tuesday to sign a service agreement with South Mississippi Planning and Development District. The agreement is to assist the city after the sudden resignation of City Clerk Amber Hinton.
The agreement, according to City Manager Freddy Drennan is for up to six months for a fee of $15,000.00, which would be $2,500 per month.
The city voted to officially have Trick or Treating on Saturday, October 30th in the City of Picayune, instead of Sunday October 31st which is Halloween. This does not prevent families from trick or treating on Sunday. The city already had an event scheduled for Saturday night The Crosby Commons Trick-Or-Treat Trail from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
