Arrest made; body found according to local law authorities

On Wednesday (July 15), Dustin and Erica Gray were taken into custody in Pueblo Colorado after being named as persons of interest in the disappearance of Jones.

After local law enforcement personnel from both the Picayune Police Department and the Pearl River County Sheriff's Office traveled to Colorado to interview the Grays, the information learned from the investigations team led to the issuance of a murder warrant according to Pearl River County Chief Investigator Marc Ogden.

Ogden said the warrant was for Austin Brookshire, age 18, from Rankin County, MS. Brookshire was taken into custody late Friday afternoon.

Also late Friday afternoon, a body was recovered in Hancock County off Texas Flat Road that appears to be that of Willie Q Jones.

Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison said investigators were led to the area in Hancock County through the department’s investigation into the case of the missing Picayune man, 28-year-old.

Pearl River County Derek Turnage said positive identification of the remains found is pending DNA confirmation.

Sheriff Allison stated the case is still under investigation and more arrests are expected.
