POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Wednesday was a reason to celebrate for the Pearl River baseball program as the Wildcats had eight athletes sign with four-year programs during the early signing window.
This year's class includes LA Tech signee KK Clark (Brandon), Southern Miss signee Caleb Dyess (Carriere; Pearl River Central), Memphis signee Carson Fair (Southaven), South Alabama signees Konnor Graham (Hammond, La.) and Max Miller (Vancleave), Southeastern Louisiana signee Jacob Keys (Brandon) and Nicholls State signees Peyton Lacy (Pass Christian) and Caston Thompson (Jayess; Brookhaven Academy).
"Signing day is always a special and rewarding day for our guys. Again, this year, we are fortunate to have a large group who have found their home after Pearl River during the early signing period. Days like today are one of the many reasons that they chose Pearl River," head coach Michael Avalon said. "This is an extremely talented group, and we anticipate them leading us to, hopefully, another successful year and continuing to raise the bar.
"We always tell our recruits to come in and let Pearl River be a stepping stone for your baseball career and in life. This is such a special day for each of these guys, their families and all the programs involved. The other sophomores will join them soon, and we look forward to their commitments and celebrating with them and their families in the future."
Since Avalon's arrival at Pearl River, 88 of his players have landed at the four-year level. Including his time at Mississippi Delta, he has sent 141 players to the next level.
KK CLARK
Clark initially took his talents to Mississippi State, where he appeared in two games as a freshman. The right-hander will now head to Louisiana Tech following his 2025 season at The River.
Clark is expected to be a go-to arm for Pearl River this year.
CALEB DYESS
Dyess was thrust into the starting rotation last season and did nothing but deliver. He will take his talents to Southern Miss after the upcoming season. He finished 2024 with 62 2/3 innings pitched and an incredible rotation-leading 2.44 ERA. He ended the season with an 8-1 record, including a complete-game effort in PRCC's MACCC Championship-clinching victory over Northwest.
CARSON FAIR
Carson Fair will take his talents to Memphis to play for Pearl River Hall of Famer Matt Riser.

CASTON THOMPSON
The left-handed hitting Thompson did some damage in his redshirt freshman season. Although he missed some time due to injury throughout the year, he finished with a .362 batting average, a .475 on-base percentage and a .702 slugging percentage. He bashed eight homers and eight doubles while driving in 38 runs.
