Five arrested on illegal narcotics charges
Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison said that on August 27, 2019, Narcotics Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department were on routine patrol when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Bouie Road.
During the stop, a K-9 sergeant responded to the scene and his K-9 alerted on the scent of a controlled substance present in the vehicle which led to a search of the vehicle according to Sheriff Allison. During the search of the vehicle, a bag containing methamphetamine, digital scales, and a glass pipe commonly used to inhale methamphetamine were recovered.
Sheriff Allison said that Justin Phillip Todd, age 29, of 451 Anchor Road, Carriere, was arrested and taken to the Lenoir-Rowell
Justice Center where he was book with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and was also charged with probation violation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
On August 29, Sheriff Allison stated that Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at #56 Lazy B Road, Lumberton, which is the residence of Frank C. Bass, age 29. Upon executing the search warrant, Investigators made contact with Bass inside the residence and he ran to the bathroom and attempted to flush methamphetamine down the toilet. According to Sheriff Allison, a struggle ensued between Bass and the Investigators and Bass was eventually taken into custody.
Sheriff Allison said that Aliyah Sharrieff, age 20, of 1821 36th Ave, Gulfport, MS, and Marcus Creel, age 29, of 906 Church Street, Columbia, MS. were also present at the residence at the time of the search warrant being executed.

Investigators recovered a distribution amount of methamphetamine near the toilet and shower where Bass was attempting to flush the drugs. They also found a digital scales and plastic bags that were being used to distribute drugs from within the residence. Investigators also located additional methamphetamine in other locations in the residence along with paraphernalia used to ingest methamphetamine according to Sheriff Allison.
As Investigators were continuing their search of the residence, Tristin Trottter, (pictured left) age 22, #40 Gales Davis Road, Lumberton, MS, arrived on the scene and was found to be in possession of marijuana.
Sheriff Allison said that Bass was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) with Intent to Distribute and a probation violation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Creel and Sharrieff were arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Trotter was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor).
All subjects were transported to the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice and booked on their charges according to Sheriff Allison.
