Two arrested as part of Pearl River County Sheriff's Department investigation
Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison told WRJW News that on August 19, 2019, Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit were in the midst of an investigation when they initiated a traffic stop on two motor vehicles that were connected to the investigation in progress on Old Camp Road in the western part of Pearl River County.
Upon execution of the traffic stop, Sheriff Allison said Bradley Dakota Martin, age 24, of #52 Shady Lake Lane, Poplarville, initiately fled in one of the motor vehicles, but was eventually pulled over after a short chase and Martin was taken into custody. A search of Martin’s person and vehicle yielded methamphetamine.
Investigators and deputies made contact with second vehicle and observed Tatum Grace Courtney, age 18, of 1556 Purvis-Baxterville Road, Purvis, MS. She was seen exiting the vehicle Martin was driving and entering the second vehicle involved in the traffic stop. Courtney was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a set of digital scales.
Sheriff Allison stated that both Martin and Courtney (picture above) were arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute and transported to the Lenoir-Rowell Criminal Justice Center in Millard where they were booked and incarcerated.
