Not at home...not a problem for PRCSO Investigators

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office (PRCSO) made an arrest of a local man on July 31, 2019, shortly after executing a search warrant at the suspect's residence according to Sheriff David Allison.

Sheriff Allison said that while Investigators with the Narcotic Division were executing a search warrant at # 440 Sam Smith Road in Poplarville, they located several marijuana plants growing outside on the property. Once inside the residence, Sheriff Allison said Investigators found dried, smokable marijuana, digital scales, plastic bags, paraphernalia, and firearms.

The suspect that lived at the address, Clay Obrien Hodge, age 39, was not home at the time the warrants being executed. Shortly after departing the residence, Investigators were able to locate Hodge and take him into custody.

Sheriff Allison said Hodge was transported to the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice Center in Millard where he was charged with Processing of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute While in Possession of a Firearm and incarcerated.
