Maroon Tide's Dodd Lee announces this season will be his last at helm


Picayune Maroon Tide Head Coach Dodd Lee announced on Thursday during the Kiwanis Club of Picayune’s noon meeting that this will be his last season as head coach at his alma mater.

Lee, who has been coaching for 39 years, is entering his 24th year at the helm of the Maroon Tide football program. Lee played at Picayune, Pearl River Community College, and Southeastern Louisiana University before entering the coaching profession.

Lee has coached Picayune to five South State Championship games and won state championships in 2011 and 2013.

Picayune opens the season on August 30 hosting D’Iberville at Lee-Triplett Stadium.
