Local man arrested for drug related charges during search warrant
Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff Department Narcotics Unit, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Department of Homeland Security, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Long Beach Police Department, and Hancock County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 102 Zion Church Road, Apartment B, Carriere, MS, on July 16, 2019, according to Sheriff David Allison.
Sheriff Allison said that during the search, investigators discovered a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana that was being sold, digital scales, packaging materials for redistribution, several thousand dollars in U.S. currency, and two firearms inside the premises at the location.
According to Sheriff Allison, they were five occupants in the residence when law enforcement arrived at the location, four of whom were cleared from involvement with the illegal narcotics activity at the residence and released.

The fifth person, identified as Willie Cordero Jefferson, aka as “Lil Cody”, age 32, of the same residence, was taken into custody and transported to the Pearl River County jail where he was booked for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and two counts of Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Sheriff Allison said he would like to thank all of the agencies involved with the investigation and assistance on the execution of the search warrant, and the arrest of Jefferson.
