Sheriff's Department arrests five; looking for another suspect for illegal narcotics violations

Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison told WRJW news of multiple arrests recently made on illegal narcotics and one suspect is still wanted on related charges.

On June 26, 2019, at approximately 2:26 p.m., Sheriff David Allison stated that Pearl River County Narcotic Investigators were on routine patrol when they observed a hand to hand transaction in the 400 block of West Union Road. Investigators were able to make contact with Jourdan Hover, age 22, of 1499 Hilltop Avenue, Picayune, after the transaction occurred and recovered a personal use amount of methamphetamine from Hover’s person. Hover was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.

The other party observed in the transaction was identified as Robert Joshua St. Amand, age 43, of #12 King Road, Carriere, was able to leave the scene before Investigators could come in contact with him according to Sheriff Allison. Allison said Investigators were familiar with St. Amand due to previous contact with him. St. Amand was arrested at the same location of the transaction the next evening when narcotic officers went back there to see if St. Amand would show up. He was arrested for Sale of Methamphetamine.

On June 27, 2019, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Pearl River County Sheriff Investigators with the Narcotic Division executed a search warrant at 62 Hickory Lane, Carriere, MS. Upon executing the search warrant, Investigators came in contact with Casey Clark, age 38, and Lannie Miller, age 29, both of the same address. During the search of the residence, Investigators recovered marijuana and methamphetamines that were packaged for resale, digital scales, bags for packing the drugs, stolen property, and other drug related paraphernalia.

While Investigators were involved in the search warrant, John Colby St. Amand, age 35, of #8 King Road, Carriere, MS, arrived at the residence and he was arrested and charged with a Misdemeanor Possession of Methamphetamine. Miller was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Clark was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. Sheriff Allison said all three suspects were transported to the Pearl River County jail where they were booked on their charges.

Sheriff Allison said that Investigators have an arrest warrant for Alfred Clark, age 46, of the same address, who was not present at the time of the search warrant, is still wanted for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute.
