Supervisors recognize local graduate

The Pearl River County Board of Supervisors recognized Poplarville High graduate Logan Santiago during Monday’s meeting. Santiago, a 4.0 student, has been offered an appointment to four of the U.S. service academies including United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy, United States Coast Guard Academy, and a four year Naval ROTC Scholarship.

He was a four year member of the Poplarville High School Soccer and Cross Country teams. He is an Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of America’s Highest Honor) and was recently inducted into the Poplarville High School Hall of Fame.

Santiago has chosen to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy and he will report to Colorado Springs on June 27, 2019. Logan is pictured with his mother, Katie Santiago, who is the Deputy Chancery Court Clerk for Pearl River County.
