City of Picayune setting up sand bag piles for Saturday night (May 11)

In preparation for potentially flooding from creek

and river crests, City Manager Jim Luke has

requested the City of Picayune to setup two sand

piles with sand bags tonight (Saturday May 11)

One pile will be in the parking lot of the First United

Pentecostal Church located at 123 Kendrick Lane

in Westchester and the other will be at 921 Baylous

Street near Baylous Funeral Home on the East

side of Picayune.

The city will set out 500 empty bags at each

location for the residents needing flood protection

of those immediate area.
