Blue Devils face a Game 3; Maroon Tide season ends

North Pike 4 Pearl River Central 3

Down 4-1 in the top of the seventh, PRC scored two runs and had the tying run at third base, but North Pike held off the Blue Devils and won Game 2 by a score of 4-3 to force a third and deciding game.

Mason Treat had two hits and drove in two runs for PRC (22-11).

Weather permitting, Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday (tonight) in Carriere at 7:00 p.m.

West Jones 12 Picayune 2

The Mustangs completed the sweep of the series of with Picayune with a ten run fourth inning to break open a close game.

Kade Turnage hit a solo home run for the Maroon Tide (17-11).

West Jones (25-5) will advance to play the winner of the PRC-South Pike series in the South State Championship.
