Taggard, Page earn Wildcats of the Month honors
POPLARVILLE— Pearl River's Elizabeth Taggard (Picayune) and Shemar Page (Raleigh) have been named Wildcats of the Month, the school announced Monday.
Taggard is in the middle of a standout sophomore season for the PRCC softball team.
In the past month the Belhaven commit has batted .296 and had eight hits with eight runs batted in.
She is batting .364 and has 14 RBIs.
Page is one of the reasons No. 5 Pearl River is nationally ranked in multiple polls.
In the past month Page has had six extra base hits and driven in eight runs while also pitching 30 strikeouts and only allowing 11 earned runs.
Page is currently undefeated on the mound posting a record of 3-0 and has a .288 ERA
He is also batting .260.
