Pearl River County workers injured by reckless driver on Jackson Landing Road

In a press release, Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Dustin Moeller stated that on March 21, 2019, at 4:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Jackson Landing Road near Chestnut Drive in reference to a vehicle crash that involved pedestrians

Upon arrival at the scene, officer’s learned that two workers with Pearl River County Road Maintenance department were struck by a vehicle while conducting roadwork on Jackson Landing Road. Witnesses stated that the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Tana Boudreaux, age 51, 2412 Jackson Landing Road, Picayune, fled the scene after striking two workers with her vehicle, and nearly striking a third worker. One of the injured workers was transported to Highland Community Hospital for his injuries while the other was treated on the scene for minor injuries. Moeller stated that officers canvassed the area for Boudreaux, but they were unable to locate her.

After an arrest warrant was issued, Moeller stated that Boudreaux was taken into custody and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Serious Bodily Injuries (Felony), Careless Driving, and Expired License, and Reckless Driving.
