Picayune beats PRC 3-2 in extra innings
Picayune--Picayune and Pearl River Central went extra innings last night at Picayune’s Kent Kirkland Field. In the bottom of the ninth, the Maroon Tide scored a run on Logan Ledet’s single to left that scored Chad Dudenhefer for a 3-2 win.
Ledet pitched the first seven innings with 14 strike outs giving up just two hits to the Blue Devils (9-4, 1-1).
Trey Wells picked up the win in relief keeping PRC scoreless in the last two innings for Picayune (6-5, 1-1) before Ledet's walk off RBI.
The teams split their series as PRC had won 4-3 at Carriere on Tuesday.
Picayune will be at Hancock on Saturday and Pearl River Central will be at Moss Point.
