Picayune baseball splits mid-week games

Tuesday: Picayune 10 Pass Christian 0

Luke Smith was the winning pitcher. Smith (2-0) pitched 6 innings, gave up 1 hit, walked two batters, and recorded 7 strikeouts. Chad Dudenhefer drove in three runs with a double in Picayune's six run fifth inning. Chad Stockstill and Kade Turnage each had two hits for Picayune (4-1).

Wednesday: Gulfport 4 Picayune 3 (8 inns)

Gulfport scored 2 in the bottom of the 8th to win it.

Picayune (4-2) was held to just 3 hits. Chad Dudenhefer had an RBI double.

Logan Ledet pitched 6 strong innings for the Maroon Tide scattering 7 hits and striking out 10 batters.

Weather permitting, Picayune will play at home on Saturday hosting a jamboree with D'Iberville and Oak Forest (Louisiana) Academy starting at 11:00am at Kent Kirkland Field.
