Pearl River's Shemar Page named MACJC Pitcher of the Week

POPLARVILLE, Miss.— Pearl River right-hander Shemar Page (Raleigh) has been named the MACJC's Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Page is coming off of a stellar performance in an 11-4 victory against St. Louis at Baton Rouge where he struck out 10 in five scoreless innings while allowing just one walk.
Page also got it done at the plate in the doubleheader, hitting .400 (2-for-5) with a double, RBI, walk and three runs scored.
On the year, Page is 1-0 with 15 strikeouts in a team-high 10 innings. He has allowed just two unearned runs over that span and scattered two hits, two walks and one hit batter.
The Louisiana Tech signee is also hitting .286 with three doubles and three RBIs through six games.

No. 8 Pearl River is back in action Friday with a home doubleheader against Coastal Alabama-South. First pitch at Dub Herring Park is set for 3 p.m.
