Search warrant leads to arrest and 'bed full of drugs"

In a press release, Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison said that on November 28, 2018, investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office (PRCSO) and the PRCSO Patrol Division with the assistance of the Picayune Police Department executed a search warrant at 715 South Haugh Ave, Apt B-16, Picayune, MS, after receiving information about possible drug activity at the residence.

The resident of the address, Troy Henry Watts, age 44, was detained at another location prior to the search warrant begin executed. During the search, investigators located a trafficking amount of Marijuana, a trafficking amount of THC vape bins (the boxes in the photo), a trafficking amount of Heroin, a firearm, numerous items used for the packaging and weighing of a controlled substance for resale, and a bulk of U.S. Currency totaling $18,478 that was believed to be proceeds from the sale of a controlled substance.

The drugs and related items found covered the king size bed in the residence.

Watts was charged with Trafficking Heroin, Trafficking Marijuana, and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. Watts was transported to the Pearl River County Jail in Millard where he is being held. An investigation also anticipates a federal probation warrant being issued to detain Watts due to him being on probation at the time of his arrest.

Sheriff Allison wants to thank the Picayune Police Department for their assistance in this investigation and arrest.
