While speaking with the driver, identified as James Alexander, Jr, age 51, of 112 Carver Drive, Picayune, detectives located a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana to be at his feet.

At this time, a patrol officer observed a female identified as Jereni Lachay Smith, age 36, of 612 Bolar Street, Picayune, sitting at a picnic table which was located near the motorcycle. The patrol officer observed one clear plastic bag containing several pills identified as Percocet 10mg, a Schedule II narcotic, and Xanax, a Schedule III narcotic, and a hand-rolled cigar containing a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana on top of the purse that was sitting on the table. Smith was also found to have in her possession approximately $300.00 of miscellaneous bills of U.S. currency.
According to Magri, Smith was placed under arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance (felony), Possession of Controlled Substance (misdemeanor) and Possession of Marijuana. Alexander was issued a citation for the narcotic (Marijuana) and released at the scene.
