Five arrested in local roundup

On Wednesday, August 29, 2018, members of the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department, the Picayune Police Department's Narcotics Division, and the Mississippi Department of Corrections combined to make five early morning arrests of wanted individuals.

For the past year, Investigators of the Pearl River County Sheriff's Department's Narcotics Unit have been conducting controlled purchases on drug related violators throughout the county, while simultaneously conducting large scale investigations.

The vast majority of these violators were arrested prior to Thursday’s roundup, primarily due to the fact that after investigators made the controlled substance cases on violators, they received complaints from the public.

The following individuals were arrested in the joint effort.

John Alsobrooks, age 30, of 9 Star Lane, Picayune: Two counts of Sale of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of conspiracy to sale a controlled substance.

Harvey E. "Sonny" Singletary, age 48, 106 Lilac Drive, Picayune: Sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy to sale a controlled substance.

Jesse Burnett, age 38, 930 Clover Circle: Three counts of sale of a controlled substance, three counts of conspiracy to sale a controlled substance.

Sonya Bradstreet, age 43, 155 Whitehead Lane, Carriere: Three counts of Sale of a Controlled Substance, Three counts of conspiracy to sale a controlled substance.
