"We Are Pearl River" documentary series debuts
POPLARVILLE — With the 2018 MACJC football season rapidly approaching, Pearl River Community College released the first episode of "We Are Pearl River" on Tuesday morning. The mini-documentary series is designed to give fans a unique inside look at athletics on the PRCC campus.
Episode 1 focuses on head coach Ted Egger, who is entering his second year as head coach of the Wildcats, and his staff. Entering the 2018 season, PRCC returns to the gridiron with its staff largely intact from last year's 5-4 campaign.
Joining Egger on the sidelines this year will be running backs coach Zach Crisler, defensive assistant Marty Heaton, defensive line coach Jonathan Johnson, offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator Terrence Metcalf, receivers coach Matt Monacelli, offensive coordinator Ryan Trevathan, linebackers coach and strength coach Nathan Wiggins, tight ends coach and assistant recruiting coordinator Harry Wright and offensive student assistant Heath Dedeaux.
Kristi Harris has also been added to the staff as the Director of Football Media and Creative Services. She is the director and producer of "We Are Pearl River."
In the "We Are Pearl River" debut, Egger also addresses his 2018 freshman class and the overall talent of this year's Wildcats.

PRCC will host its annual Meet The Wildcats scrimmage at 6 p.m. Thursday at Dobie Holden Stadium. The event will introduce all of PRCC's fall sports teams and will be built around a Gridiron Wildcats' scrimmage. PRCC then opens the season Aug. 30 with a home meeting against Itawamba Community College. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. All games will be broadcast on PRCCAthletics.com and on the school's YouTube channel.
