"Out with the old and in with the new" for city of Picayune's garbage collection
City of Picayune Director of Public Works Eric Morris wants to remind residents of the city of Picayune that the new garbage contractor Coastal Environmental Services (CES), has begun the process of delivering the new garbage receptacles and recycling containers in preparation for CES to take over the collection services for the city.

New receptacles from Coastal Environmental Services being delivered on Tuesday
As of today (Tuesday August 21st), Morris said that approximately 2,000 of the new units have been delivered and CES will continue that process throughout this week. He added that residents will receive a mail out next week with detailed instructions along with phone numbers to call for more information.

Morris stated that the current garbage collector, Waste Connections, will begin removing their containers on Monday August 27th and should be completed on Friday August 31st. He said that Waste Connections will empty both new and old waste containers next week August 27th through August 31st as they complete their last week as the city contractor.
On the last use of the Waste Connections receptacle and recycling tube, Waste Connections will have an additional that will come by and collect their receptacle and recycling bin.
