Picayune Public Works personnel worked into the evening on Friday to repair a water main that was severed by a contractor on Cooper Road near First National Bank and Acadiana Cinema Movie theater.
According to Director of Public Works Eric Morris via a phone conversation last night around 9:00pm , the main was repaired and water service was restored.
Morris said residents who received a door hanger calling for a boil water notice last night are the only ones impacted. Again, residences and businesses affected, and part of the boil water notice should have received a door hanger warning them to adhere to the boil water notice from the theatre to the end of Cooper Road for 72 hours.
