Slidell Police Searching for “Arts and Crafts” Burglar
Slidell Police are looking for the identity of a man they are calling the “Arts and Crafts Burglar”.
On March 5, 2018, Slidell Police responded to the Berkley Apartments (2020 Eleventh Street, Slidell, LA) after the property manager discovered a large hole cut in the sheetrock of the main office, and newspaper glued to the surveillance camera.
A review of the surveillance video showed a subject enter the laundry room of the apartment complex, put a t-shirt over his head, then attempt glue newspaper to the surveillance camera. The suspect accidently exposed his face on several occasions during his arts and crafts project. The suspect then cut a hole into the sheetrock of the laundry room, which led into the main office of the complex. It is assumed the suspect was searching for cash, but came up empty handed.
