Operation Spring Cleaning produces three more arrests
The Picayune Police Department Narcotics Division continues to make narcotics arrests as part of the ongoing Operation Spring Cleaning by using various methods and techniques to locate and arrest those participating in illegal drug activity. Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri released the following information on two cases in a press release.
On April 5th at approximately 2:41 p.m., the Narcotics Division was conducting an undercover operation at a local business on Frontage Road when undercover personnel met with a suspect identified as Kristi Anne Jones, age 28, of 422 Second Street, Picayune. Jones allegedly conspired with the undercover personnel to have Crystal Methamphetamine sold to them at a local business on Highway 11 North in Picayune. Jones also advised undercover personnel that she would like some Crystal Methamphetamine for herself for being the middle man of the arranged transaction once it was completed according to Magri.

Undercover personnel left the business on Frontage Road and made contact with an additional suspect, identified as Douglas Leroy Culpepper aka “Roy”, age 43, of 2311 Jackson Landing Road, Picayune, at the local business on Highway 11 North. Culpepper spoke with the undercover personnel for several minutes about the narcotic transaction. While the undercover personnel was in the middle of the conversation with Culpepper about the narcotic transaction, Culpepper attempted to forcefully take money from the undercover personnel, but Culpepper was unsuccessful and he fled the scene on foot heading South.
Narcotic Detectives then made contact with Jones at the business on Frontage Road at which time they located several used syringes (commonly used to inject illegal narcotics) inside Jones’ purse. Jones was placed under arrest for Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance (Crystal Methamphetamine), Conspiracy to Commit a Crime (felony), and Possession of Paraphernalia. She was transported to the Criminal Justice Center, booked, and incarcerated.
At this time, it was learned that Culpepper was in the area of 1110 Jasmine Drive in Nicholson. Picayune Narcotics Detectives along with a Police Patrol officer met with a Pearl River County Sheriff’s Narcotic Detective, a Deputy, and they all went to the address in Nicholson. When they arrived at address, Picayune Narcotic Detectives located Culpepper and he was placed under arrest for Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance (Crystal Methamphetamine) and was transported to the Criminal Justice Center where he was booked and incarcerated.
In more Operation Spring Cleaning related activity, Magri’s press release stated that Picayune Police Department Narcotics Detectives arrested Michael Angelo Raffiel Wilson, age 43, of 408 North Buren Avenue, Picayune, for an outstanding warrant held by the Picayune Police Department for Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance Within 1500 feet of a School (Cocaine).
Wilson (pictured) was taken into custody on April 9th at approximately 1:00 p.m. at the corner of North Buren Avenue and Fifth Street and transported to the Criminal Justice Center where he was booked and incarcerated according to Magri.
