Darnel Shane Green Patricia A. Henderson
A patrol officer was dispatched to a local business in the 4200 block of Highway 11 North on March 14th at approximately 3:32pm in response to a call received about two suspicious people, a white male and a white female.
Upon arrival, the officer observed the male subject in the driver’s seat of a blue 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe with the driver side door open. When the officer approached the vehicle, the male subject shut the door and he was observed trying to hide something in the center console of the vehicle. The officer had the subject exited the vehicle and he conducted a safety pat-down for weapons on the male subject. The subject was identified as Darnel Shane Green, age 56, of 1614 Virginia Avenue, Lynn Haven, FL.
The officer obtained consent to search the vehicle and while searching the center console, he found a purple Crown Royal bag containing one glass homemade pipe containing burnt residue, one (1) Suboxone pack, and one (1) small clear plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine according to Magri.
On the rear seat passenger side seat, the officer found a multi-colored makeup case that contained three clear plastic bags that contained a crystal-like substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine, and several cards with the name Patricia Henderson on them. A short time later, the female subject, identified as Patricia Henderson, age 49, of 1614 Virginia Avenue, Lynn Haven, FL., walked out of the business and she was detained.
Magri stated that Green was arrested and during a search of his person, the officer located a small plastic baggie in Green’s right front pocket that contained a crystal-like substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine.
Green was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (felony), and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia. Henderson was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Criminal Justice Center, booked, and incarcerated.
Commenting on the assistance from the caller, Magri said, “That’s the difference when the public sees something and calls it in. We talk about a lot and here is an example where it happened.”
