Austin Dean tossed a complete game shutout and allowed just 3 hits to propel the Blue Devils to a 2-0 win over North Pike. Pearl River Central (12-1, 3-1) scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth when Mason Treat reached on an error and Tristan Schlottman singled. Treat scored on a throwing error by the pitcher. Austen Izzio doubled to bring home Schlottman.

Hattiesburg 10 Picayune 0

Picayune committed five errors and could only muster 1 hit against Hattiesburg’s A.J. Stinson. Stinson only faced one batter over the minimum in the five inning game shortened by the run rule.

Picayune (6-7, 0-4) will host Pearl River Central on Tuesday, and then the two teams will play in Carriere on Thursday.
