North Pike shuts out Maroon Tide 2-0
Summit--North Pike senior right-hander Cade Killingsworth handcuffed Picayune throwing a no-hitter and recording 11 strike outs to propel the Jaguars to a 2-0 win at Jaguar Field.
Killingsworth, with a fastball consistently around 85 mph, did not allow a ball hit out of the infield. He hit 5 Picayune batters and walked one. Three times during the game, Picayune had runners in scoring position, but Killingsworth ended two threats with a strike out and the other one was stopped on a ground out.
North Pike scored unearned runs in the third and fourth innings.
