Blue Devils stay unbeaten with 10-9 win over H'burg Tigers

Carriere--Pearl River Central beat Hattiesburg 10-9 to move their record to 10-0 and 1-0 in region play.

The Blue Devils jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but Hattiesburg scored six runs in the top of the third to take the lead. PRC tied the game in the bottom of the third.

PRC got three runs in the fourth and added a run in the bottom of the sixth on a home run by Hayden Dunhurst. Hattiesburg put up three runs in the top of the seventh before Josh Kennedy got a strikeout to end the game.

Rigel Robinson got the win going six innings for the Blue Devils. Austen Izzio had a double and a triple while Robert Shoemake had two singles.

PRC and Hattiesburg will play again on Friday in Hattiesburg.
