Slidell Police Investigating Fatal Crash involving a 60-year-old man from Picayune
Slidell Police are investigating a single vehicle fatal crash, involving a 60-year-old man from Picayune, Mississippi. Shortly after 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon (Friday, January 12th), Slidell Police responded to the intersection of Front Street and Fremaux Avenue, to reports of a white Chevrolet Silverado truck, which crashed into a building (126 Fremaux Avenue – Furniture Consignment Shop). Witnesses stated the truck was traveling west on Fremaux Avenue, and the driver, identified as Glynn Cousin, appeared to be in distress. Prior to striking the building, witnesses say the truck slowly veered to the right, and that Mr. Cousin did not appear to be in control of the vehicle. When Slidell Police arrived, Mr. Cousin was unresponsive, and was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Investigators believe that Mr. Cousin had a medial issue, and may have passed away prior to the crash. No one else was injured as a result of the crash.
