Picayune Police make arrest after observing suspect with active warrants riding in vehicle

While on patrol on December 14th around 6:00pm, Picayune Police recognized a man who had two active warrants for aggravated assault riding as a passenger in a car. The suspect, Rumeal “Squirt” Foster, age 28, of 922 Jackson Landing Road, Picayune, was observed at the intersection of Bruce and Main Street headed toward Highway 11 according to a report from the Picayune Police Department..

The officer pulled the vehicle over at the intersection of Bruce and Highway 11 and asked Foster to exit the vehicle. A pat-down for officer safety was conducted on Foster and the officer discovered a large plastic bag that Foster was trying to conceal in his pants just above his groin area. The large bag contained 17 individually wrapped baggies containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

The report states that Foster was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute with 1500 feet of a school or church. He was transported to the Criminal Justice Center where he was booked and incarcerated.
