Crosby Commons walking trail to reopen on Monday (October 16) at 5:00am

In a press release, the City of Picayune states that "by order of the City Manager, we are pleased to announce the re-opening of the walking track at Crosby Commons. The track will be open to the general public effective Monday, October 16th at 5:00 am. Operating hours will be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The City of Picayune invites you to come enjoy an even more landscaped, and tranquil environment with plenty of places to rest and visit."

Public Works Director Eric Morris noted in the release that the city is considering this a “soft opening” meaning, “the track only”. Since grass seed and sod were freshly applied, the City is asking the public to refrain from trafficking the green space until it has had a chance to become established.

A grand opening will be announced at a later time. If residents have any questions, please contact City Hall at (601)-798-9770.
