City to have another water service interruption on Thursday

The City of Picayune's Office of Public Works has scheduled another water service interruption for Thursday, September 14th beginning at 9:00am. Contractors will be tying in a newly installed water line. Residents in the following areas will be without water for approximately 8 hours:

• Third Ave.

• Fourth Ave.

• River Road

• Briarwood Lane

• Brookview Lane

• Twisted Oak Drive

• Gray Oak Drive

• N. Beech from Fourth Ave to Long Bridge

Note: Residents in adjacent areas may experience low pressure during the 8 hour period.

Once repairs are completed, officials will be collecting water samples for testing and will send them to the State Department of Health for testing. During this time, a Boil Water Notice will be in effect until the City of Picayune receives the all clear from the State.
