On August 28th, at around 7:19pm, Picayune Police officers observed a blue, 1994 Geo Prism traveling north on South Curran that was traveling in a extremely careless manner swerving from side to side on the roadway.
According to Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri, the officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at South Curran and Harris Street. While speaking with the driver, identified as Austin Chandler Mason, age 18, of 93 Homer Spiers Road, Picayune, the officers noticed that the passenger of the vehicle, identified as Anthony M. Boudouin, age 28, of 700 N. Main Street, Apt 21, Picayune, was acting very nervous to the point that his hands were shaking.
A check with NCIC revealed that Mason’s driver’s license was suspended. Mason and Boudouin were asked to exit the vehicle according to Magri. A search of the vehicle was conducted and the officer found a black book bag in the rear seat of the vehicle that contained a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and a crystal like substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. During the investigation of the traffic stop, it was learned that the book bag belonged to Boudouin.

Both Boudouin and Mason were transported to the Criminal Justice Center and book on the said charges and incarcerated.
