Picayune Police undercover operation leads to arrest of local man

The Picayune Police Narcotics Division arrested a Picayune man during an undercover operation after he sold heroin to them.

On July 25th at around 8:00pm, Picayune Police arrested Alonzo Lamont Graham, age 44, of 700 North Main Street, Apt #13, after Graham completed a transaction near Easy Street and Stafford Road.

During the investigation, Picayune Police Narcotics Detectives learned that Graham was in possession of a 308 rifle during the transaction. Through investigation, Narcotic Detectives learned that Graham was also arranging another sell with undercover Narcotics Detectives at a later date.

A search warrant was executed on Graham’s residence and when the Narcotics Detectives arrived, they observed that Graham had surveillance trip wires deployed on the stairwell, balcony, and entry door at this residence for the purpose of giving him early warning if someone was to come to his residence.

During the search of Graham’s residence, detectives recovered a set of digital scales containing a brown powdery substance, clear plastic bags, and aluminum foil which are commonly used to package illegal narcotics. The search also produced a loaded 308 rifle, surveillance drones, and multiple craft made knives.

Graham was placed under arrest for Sale of a Controlled Substance (heroin) while in possession of a firearm, Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance while in possession of a firearm, and Conspiracy to Sell a Controlled Substance within 1500 feet of a school or church.
