Sheriff Allison gives details on numerous arrests

According to Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison, the Sheriff’s Department made several arrests on June 15th in two separate investigations.
Sheriff Allison told WRJW news that Pearl River County Narcotics investigators had received information that Charles Rohrbacker, age 42, of 33 Easy Street, Picayune, had cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet and fled the state of Mississippi in an attempt to avoid capture by law enforcement. Sheriff Allison said the information also indicated that Rohrbacker was periodically coming back to Pearl River County and staying with Kayla Stapleton, age 26, of 298 Pea Ridge Road, Picayune.
On June 15th, two Pearl River County narcotics investigators went to Stapleton’s residence in an attempt to locate Rohrbacker. When the investigators arrived, they spoke with Stapleton and she stated that Rohrbacker had not been staying with her nor had she seen him. Investigators then searched her residence and found Rohrbacker hiding inside an entertainment center. He was taken into custody without incident. Rohrbacker was arrested on a circuit court warrant and is being held without bond pending an official hearing.
The investigation is still ongoing and Rohrbacker may be facing additional charges of escape. Stapleton was checked for outstanding warrants and found to be wanted for trespassing, stalking, and petty larceny in Pearl River County. She was also wanted by the Picayune Police Department for unknown charges. Stapleton was arrested and booked on her warrants and a hold was placed on her for the Picayune Police Department. The investigation is ongoing and Stapleton may face charges of hindering prosecution for her involvement in hiding Rohrbacker.
Also on June 15th, Sheriff Allison stated that narcotics investigators, along with Mississippi Department of Corrections officers, went to 26 Billy Coleman Road in Poplarville after receiving multiple complaints of suspected drug activity.
Sheriff Allison told WRJW News, “We arrested Chance Coleman a little over a month ago and he bonded out. We had received complaints that he was back in business again at his residence and we began the investigation.”
When the officers arrived at the residence, they came in contact with Robert Bellais, age 37, of Poplarville, sitting in a vehicle in the front yard. Bellias was later arrested after it was found he had several outstanding warrants in Pearl River County for expired tag, no insurance, driving on a suspended driver’s license, and stealing public utilities for electric power.
Officers approached the residence and when they made contact with those in the residence, they secured the residence. The officers found Chance Coleman, age 28, and Whitney Collier, age 26, of 149 Sam Smith Road of Poplarville, in one room of the residence. Hickory Coleman, age 19, and Jamie Dyson, age 18, of 1523 Avenue B, Bogalusa, LA, were found in another room.

Once all occupants were detained, officers searched the residence and found several different kinds of illegal narcotics along with a firearm. Officers recovered methamphetamine, Ecstasy, Suboxone, Xanax, and marijuana.
Just as officers had completed their search of the residence, Benny Morgan, age 28, of 132 White Sand Road, Poplarville, drove up to the residence. Upon a check of Morgan’s background, it was found that he was wanted by Pearl River County for a grand larceny felony warrant.
Sheriff Allison stated that Chance Coleman and Whitney Collier were both arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute for crystal meth, Ecstasy, Suboxone, Xanax, and marijuana while in the possession of a firearm. Allison said that Hickory Coleman and Jamie Dyson were arrested for possession of paraphernalia. Robert Bellais was arrested for the outstanding warrants on him and Benny Morgan was arrested for the warrant on him for grand larceny.
