Picayune Archery Wins 4th Straight South State

On Wednesday night, the Maroon Tide Archery Team outscored 6 other schools en route to claiming their 4th straight class 5A South State Championship. Madyson Canulette was the team’s top overall female shooter as she posted a score of 276. She was followed by Jordan Barrack (273), Sarah Smith (273), and Courtney Borchert (272) as the team’s remaining top female shooters. Quinton Fenstermacher was the team’s top male shooter as he posted a score of 274. He was followed by Harold Gallo (269), Justin Dickerson (269), and Gavin Mitchell (258) as the team’s top male shooters.Other shooters whose scores contributed to the team’s total were Madisen Milliet (270), Jadyn Crosby (264), Kate Spiers (261), and Alexis Windham (260). Next up for the PMHS Archery team will be the last home match of the season on Monday, March 27 vs. Poplarville. In baseball tonight, Picayune will host Hattiesburg and Pearl River Central travels to play at Stone.
