PMHS Student earns prestigious award

A Picayune Memorial High School senior is truly a stand-out among the nations smartest.

Om Patel is the first Picayune student since 2005 to become a National Merit Finalist.

Patel is one of 15,000 students nationwide to receive the honor. Being a finalist has already secured him up to $69,000 dollars in scholarship money over 4 years to his college of choice which is Mississippi State University.

Om now moves on to see if he can acquire the final judging to become a National Merit Scholar. Congratulations to PMHS’
