MS Dept of Health releases first report from schools on COVID-19 cases

The Mississippi State Department of Health on Tuesday released the first full list of COVID-19 cases and outbreaks at schools by county. Schools are required to report cases each Monday to the state.

PEARL RIVER numbers…all schools combined. week of Aug. 17-21

Total new cases among students,: 7

Total new cases among staff: 2

Teachers/staff quarantined,: 7

Students quarantined, 110

Total cases among students since school started: 9

Total cases among staff since school started: 3

HANCOCK numbers…all schools combined week of Aug. 17-21

Total new cases among students, 6

Total new cases among staff, 1

Teachers/staff quarantined, 1

Students quarantined, 57

Total cases among students since school started: 14
