Chamber holds Law Enforcement and First Responder Banquet

The Law Enforcement and First Responder Appreciation and Awards Luncheon, hosted by the Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce, was held on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Picayune Link facility.


The Pearl River County Sheriffs Department, the Picayune Police Department, and the Pearl River County Central Dispatch presented recognitions and awards to their respective employees.


The Firefighter of the Year was Hunter McElray.


The Police Officer of the year was Sean Talley. The Chief’s Award was a co-award recognizing the efforts of Jesse Neumann and John Seal. The Civilian Employee of the Year was Jeana Ritchie.

The Deputy of the Year was Neil Dugas. The Investigator of the Year was presented posthumously to Jerry Fleming. The Civilian of the Year was presented posthumously to Roy D’Arcangelo, Jr. The Corrections Officer of the Year was awarded to Kristin Fleming.


The Dispatcher of the Year was Alyssa Duplantis-Wells.
