Pearl River football coach resigns

POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Pearl River Athletics Director Jeff Long announced today that head football coach Ted Egger will not return to lead the Wildcats in 2020.

“We appreciate Coach Egger and his staff for bringing stability to our program over the last three years,” Long said. “We thank him for his efforts in leading our program and wish him the best in all of his future endeavors.”

“Coach Egger has been a great addition to our campus culture over the last three years. He’s a man with high morals and integrity,” Pearl River

president Dr. Adam Breerwood. “We wish Coach Egger and his family the best of luck in his new opportunities.”

Egger was 10-17 during his three seasons at the helm of the program.

“I appreciate Dr. Breerwood and Pearl River for giving me the opportunity to lead the Wildcats,” Egger said. “It has been a joy to lead this program and I want to thank the community and players for everything they have done for me and my family.”

A search to find PRCC’s next head coach will begin immediately.
