PRC blasts Gautier 11-1; play host to Picayune tonight in district opener

Carriere—Pearl River Central moved their record to 8-3 on the season with an 11-1 win over Gautier on Monday night at the PRC Baseball Complex.

Hayden Dunhurst had six RBIs including a double and a home run (his fifth of the season) for the Blue Devils. Ethan Songy added two doubles for PRC.

Nolan Walther got the win by pitching five innings, giving up 5 hits, recording 5 strikeouts, and walking 3 batters.

Pearl River Central and Picayune will play tonight (Tuesday) in Carriere in the district opener for both teams. The game will be broadcast on WRJW 1320 AM and the Sports Audio portal on the WRJW app and wrjwradio.com.
