Maroon Tide Boys stays unbeaten in district play

Picayune--The Picayune Maroon Tide Boys stayed unbeaten in district play with a 53-40 win over North Pike at Kelly Wise Memorial Gymnasium last night on Senior Night.

Marvun Arnold led Picayune (17-9, 5-0) with 15 points while Derai Jones and Kobe Jones adding 14 points each. Sergio Williams had 5 points and Montana Hammond (0 in picture below) grabbed a game high 12 rebounds for Picayune.

Picayune will play at home against Hattiesburg on Monday for the district title and the top seed in the upcoming district tourney.

Girls: North Pike 39 Picayune 32

Ryanna McNeely and Deniyah Freeman each had 8 points for the Maroon Tide.

Picayune and North Pike split their games and currently Picayune has the tie-breaker for the 3rd seed for playoffs.
