Complaints and search warrant lead to arrests
After receiving several community complaints of alleged illegal narcotics distribution, Picayune Police Narcotics Division Detectives executed a search warrant to 1400 Bender Street in Picayune on November 20th at approximately 4:00 p.m according to a press release from Assistant Police Chief Jeremy Magri.
According to Magri, Detectives went to the address and entered the residence where they located the suspects asleep in the bedroom. The suspects, identified as Houston Thomas Powe, age 23, and Rachel Pattylo Reilly, age 27 of the same address, were detained while a search of the residence was conducted.

During the search, Detectives located several used syringes and glass pipes, which are commonly used to inject and inhale illegal narcotics throughout the residence. Upon conducting a further search of the residence, Detectives located a brown liquid medication bottle containing a clear substance believed to be liquid Codeine, a schedule II narcotic, along with a clear glass capsule which contained a crystal substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine, also a Schedule II narcotic, in the master bedroom.
Detectives then opened a black Sentry Safe which was located in an additional bedroom. Inside the safe, they recovered several clear plastic bags containing a crystal residue believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine, an off-white rock like substance believed to be Crack Cocaine (a schedule II narcotic), empty medication bottles containing a crystal substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine, several spoons, and a rubber arm band, which are commonly used to prepare illegal narcotics for injection, and a black rusted double barrel pistol.
Powe and Reilly were both placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute within 1500 feet of a School, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of Possession of Paraphernaila. They were transported to the criminal justice center and incarcerated.
